Complete the joy of Holy Spirit by having harmony, the same purpose, the same love, and agreement with one another. Don't do anything motivated directly from strife, contention, or ego. Each one should be concerned about the interests (goals, knowledge, needs...) of the other and not just their own. THIS is the TRUE spirit of humility - the one Christ displayed when He once lived among us as a human being.
Philippians 2:2-5, 7, 12 (CeO version)
Being more educated, more "spiritual", having better financial acumen, etc. means nothing in marriage - lAterally speaking of course; because it is our humanity that evens the playing field. And because we are of the same love (united in marriage), we should be parallel in purpose. For believers that means knowing Christ personally, but sharing Him publicly.
Whether in word or deed, communicate this to your spouse:
This goal is OUR goal (as married people); and I recognize and support your individual and God-given uniqueness used to fulfill it. I respect and appreciate the way you "work out your salvation". It IS of the utmost importance to me.
