We often pray, "God lead me not into temptation", or "correct me where I'm wrong". But don't forget to ask Him to show you where you're right. Hebrews 6:10 reminds us that "God is not unrighteous to forget or overlook the love which you have shown for His name's sake. . ." He does not forget nor disregard all of the good choices that you've made. We need correction and redirection, yes, but He also knows that we sometimes need laudation. He knows how to give both.
Father, as Luke 24:45 asks, I pray that You open my mind to thoroughly understand Your word: both the rhema and the logos. Please continue to correct me when I err (Job 6:24), acknowledge and reward me as I walk according to my righteousness (Psalm 18:24), and build up my confidence for the future (Jude 1:20), according to the plans that You have for me (Jeremiah 29:11). Thank You Lord Jesus, for granting me access to the Father (Ephesians 3:12). Amen.
